Worth noting, in Georgia, neither can the Governor. It’s a secret pardon committee who does that, and that’s ONLY after a certain period of time has been served.

It’s a random selection of judges now. There are 19 judges, and the computer assigns the case at random now that the indictment has been handed in. Worst game of Russian roulette.
Someone still has to try the case. If they cleaned house at the Fulton da office they could have some sycophant show up to court and literally just tank the entire case.

Speaking of things happening in Atlanta, Trump also hasn’t occupied the South River Forest in order to protest against Cop City, which is what one person recently got executed by the Georgia State Patrol for.

That’s a myth, donating food is a protected act so long as its done in good faith.

Not a myth exactly. The good Samaritan is more about liability right? Well, some towns are designating only certain areas that people can give homeless food, in many senses punishing generosity to the poor.

But it costs to hire the lawyer, pay to file and take time off work to appear. And none of those costs will be reimbursed.
That doesn’t change the fact that it’s legal and you’re simply going to court to prove it as such, plus you’ll be case law which is pretty neat.
Not everyone has the money to even get a lawyer.
Maybe start thinking about the whole population instead of just the ones who’d think it was “neat” to set precedent.

the reports I’m seeing (guardian, for example) are saying 10 people are going to be receiving indictments. we don’t know how many more felonies to tack on to Trumps record-setting list of indictments, just yet.

the OP is a stack of papers with an easily spoofed cover letter. It’s hardly authoritative on it’s own. I also can’t make out any specific names. we’re waiting for the details to become public. Trump isn’t even down. Here’s still by far the favorite to win the Republican primary and be in the presidential race. Despite all of these things he continues to have a rabid following that will easily say all of this is just a setup. Cult 45 isn’t just a moniker, they truly are very cult-like.
Says a lot about the different cultures too because here in the US a politician lying about having a party during lockdown would be praised by conservatives for sticking up for their “freedoms”
