Hey all,
we still have no clear rules for this community and I’d like to dicuss them together with you so that you can give feedback and request changes. I copied a draft over from the digital minimalism community and adjusted it a bit.
Rules of this community may be:
1. Be honest with yourself and others.
The goal is to develop yourself personally and as a community. Seriously, if you’re not honest with yourself and pretend to be someone else, you’re not going anywhere. The first step to progression is acceptance, isn’t it?
2. Be polite to others and respects each others opinions.
Your freedom ends where somebody else’s begins. Remember that there are people that may see things differently than you.
3. Keep it theme-oriented, up to date and relevant.
In general, all types of contributions are allowed, but the relevance to this community must always be evident and presented openly by the contributor. Posts that do not meet these requirements will be removed after a public warning.
4. Use self-moderation measures first before reporting.
This community is fundamentally built upon freedom of speech. Since everyone understands minimalism differently and we do not want to exclude any kind of content a priori, we appeal to the individual users to block/mute posts or users who do not meet their requirements. Please bear this in mind when filing a report
If any of these rules are broken, please feel free to contact one of the mods.
Update: Since these rules have met with no resistance, I will adopt them for the time being as they currently stand. However, suggestions for improvement are still very welcome.
Good point. The first sentences are quite describing. Do you think it would be enough if they were highlighted with the rest of the text like a description underneath? Something like Reddit currently has, where you can expand specific rules to show their explanation.

That would probably work.
Please provide some feedback here in the comments about how you like this proposal or if you would like to change anything. Thank you!
This all sounds good to me to start off and we can adjust a we go. Not really something for the rules, but I think it’s good to periodically have discussion that shines a light on shifts in content and discoursw so there can be discussion on whether the shift is positive or negative, then potentially refocus as community ☺️
Thank’s! This is a really great idea. I think a monthly update/discussion thread would be neat.
