Chocobo GP is now available for $49.99 in the Nintendo eShop with all in-game unlockables and no microtransactions. The Nintendo Switch game was quietly re-released on June 15, and the Chocobo GP Lite Nintendo eShop page is no longer available. However, players who previously played Chocobo GP Lite and still have the game downloaded may upgrade to the full version of Chocobo GP on Nintendo Switch. A separate Nintendo eShop page for this upgrade is also live alongside the full game.

Trust is lost. The threat of them making another bad move is real.

Yeah, but unfortunately the profits from a successful micro-transaction game are so high, that companies can’t stop themselves from taking such risks.

And now you are reading a lemmy post on how the game is stop going to be predatory!

      Welcome to the future!

Edit: But yeah, the game was really predatory, and I think it flopped bad.

I have looked, but I can’t find any information about it, so I am assuming, there won’t be anything right away.

You can always buy the Physical copy of previous version, and then buy the “full version” upgrade from eShop.
