Weird news at work and I’m curious how it will play out.

My spouse and I work for the same company. They got news yesterday that their current team is being dissolved and now they report to a new manager, who happens to be the manager of everyone on my dev team. I suspect a high likelihood that my spouse will end up directly on my team, which gives me all kinds of weird feelings.

Hopefully my spouse and the other person moving over just work on their own stuff independently off team. I should find out more about the long-term plan later this week. Spouse is mostly upset since their team just started doing flexi Fridays and we haven’t yet.
