Makes me think about all the ancients drawings of people descending from sky with big circles/spheres around their heads, wearing shiny armour or sitting on chair with flames shooting from below it.
Imagine a Trek episode where they end up in Flatland.
Or in ancient Egypt. Then they find a large ring with an event horizon that looks like water. Maybe I’m crossing a line here.
