I have enough toilet paper, thank you.
This is just bad sociology and eurocentric history (even for the 19th century) passed off as universal experience.
Why should anyone who isn’t Catholic care what any Pope says about marriage? Especially since they’re actively trying to destroy the practice for people who don’t buy into the closed-minded definition of the institution prescribed by the church?
I don’t care which consenting adult a Catholic marries. That courtesy does not go both ways, especially to the higher-ups in the church.
Marriage is the sacred bond between a husband and wife which may allow for the biological production of children, as God created people male or female “in the image of God”
It’s therefore impossible for two people of the same gender to marry as it is outside of the divinely constituted institution of marriage, and the encyclical discusses at length the beauty of the matrimonial union
Higher-ups in the Church would therefore of course not sanction unnatural unions and would insist upon relationships that satisfy the mutual longing of man and woman
You forgot to say why I should care what limits your kooky religious beliefs impose on me.
Read like a paragraph of that and it’s time I’ll never get back unfortunately
