Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that its Self-Repair program is now available in Europe, specifically Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the UK. This move builds on the company’s recent Korean launch of the program.
This is encouraging. Hopefully they will expand to more regions.

They also just changed my battery with no extra charge which is never going to be the case with self-repair.
The article mentions "Customers can purchase display assemblies that consist of the phone screen, metal frame, bezel and battery to replace the display. " I guess the self-repair kit includes the battery though.
They are, the screen and the battery are glued together and sold as a single unit for $167 in the US. You can see the assembly on ifixit.com.
There’s only three assemblies offered, at least for the S22. The screen + battery, the charging port, and the back glass.

I always cheer when right to repair wins even the smallest battle. But I when it comes to smartphones, the major issue is the planned obsolescence as time-limited updates. OEMs should make it much easier to flash custom roms at least at the end of life for a specific model…
