Not looking for solutions - just letting folks know their mission statement is to separate the elderly from their social security checks. My mother fell for this scam 23 years ago, has paid nearly $10,000 in premiums in that time, and it has a cash value of less than $3000 today, which I cannot seem to access for her tho I have financial power of attorney and have jumped through all their hoops. I’m pretty sure their long game is to drag this out past the next premium due date at which time they’re hoping I’ll allow the policy to lapse due to nonpayment.

To expand on your excellent point, whole life insurance in general is a scam. There are even well-respected groups and fraternal organizations who are actively financially screwing their members over with this crap, and have been for decades.

So many elderly scams - insurance ‘offers’, 17 different versions of readers digest subscriptions, begs for money that start every month and then increase to every week hoping they don’t remember, collectible coins, so so many!
