    Pretty sure they can’t build faster than light communications, so a phone call from Mars would take from a minimum of 3 min to a max of 22 min to reach us, with the same time to send back a reply. So, maybe a veeeery long chat. Better an email.

      That’s literally what the ansible is : a FTL com device.
      Whether they really found a way is another discussion, but I’m pretty sure that’s what OP is chuckling at.

    “In real time” usually means “at light speed”, doesn’t it?
