When I go to view an individual community the newest posts are not always showing. Some communities look like they have no posts, even though I know that they do. Example: https://lemmy.world/c/autism When I view the link I only see posts that are from August 5th or older. When viewing all on the instance, newer posts will appear though.

Edit:(12 hours later) I don’t know if it is related, but I am not seeing the comments on this post. They pop-up in my inbox as replies, but do not appear when I view the post.

I also can’t see these postscomments coming in through Connect app and have had the same issue intermittently with app and browser access

There are some federation issues known, but that is only when you go to a lemmy.world community on another instance.

I was not able to reproduce the error. Not on the official client and not on a.lemmy.world.

    Which client do you use?

Client? I’m sorry. I am very new to this. Does client mean app? Or instance? I am signed into lemmy.world on two different mobile apps (Connect and Liftoff) as well as being logged in on my browser (Firefox for mobile). All three options produce the same results for that community. Is there a different option I should try?

Also odd: I don’t see any of the comments to my post, except in my inbox. And when I view your profile it only show one 25 day old post for you even though it says you have made 55 posts. Your profile

Another edit: the replies to my post dissappear from my inbox after I hit the checkmark to mark them as read. I can only see and edit this comment because I haven’t navigated away on the app I have it open in. If I go to my inbox on my browser or the other app, I can’t see any of the replies.

        Ah I see!

Which app are you using? (I use a iPhone so I don’t know).

I suspect that the app is the problem.

I have been using two different apps, Liftoff and Connect. Neither one displays the proper posts. Connect doesn’t show any posts. But even using the web browser I can’t see new posts.

I have asked the admins and I no-one seems to have a solution for it. I cannot find a solution for it on Github too. Can you please submit your issue directly to Lemmy? You can do it here. It would help other users affected by this issue a lot!

I will do. This issue is weird. Comments don’t display correctly either. What’s weird is that I see more comments on a lemmy.world post when I view it through a different instance, like this post. On lemmy.world I only see 4 comments. https://lemmy.world/post/3678827

What are your language settings? I wonder if that might be an issue? Also, have you tried any apps or pwas to see if the issue is persistent?

My language is English. What is really weird is that I can only see this comment in my inbox. If I try to go to the actual post I get a blank screen/error. I don’t even know which of my comments about these issues that you are responding to.

I was curious if you had any luck? (I copied your last response in case you still aren’t seeing posts/comments).

I think some of my issues were caused by having two different accounts with the same username, but on different instances. I originally created an account on a different instance but used lemmy.world as my main. Once I deleted the information for the other account my main problems seemed to fix. I still get comment display issues, but those usually fix when I hit refresh. I think that has more to do with federation issues.
