    Well. That’s succinct. I’m not the anti-capitalist most of you are, and I’m a fair bit older than most of you are. This comment fits what I’ve seen in life. Fits so well it’s a little eerie.

      I support capitalism, but as soon as you have legislative capture you no longer have capitalism. Money in politics kills capitalism.

        You can’t even get the money out of politics with straight capitalism, because the people winning capitalism will just buy social media companies and news papers to drive the politics where they want it to be anyway.

        You need a tax structure that heavily incentivizes shared ownership models and heavily penalizes private ownership of anything other than tiny companies.

        Bingo. No economic system survives regulatory or legislative capture. If we can’t have solid guard rails, any system devolves into the rich running it.
