House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) fired off a sweeping request for documents dealing with former President Trump’s prosecution for election interference in Georgia, asking Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) to turn over all records relating to the case.

Sent hours before Trump is expected to surrender at the Fulton County Jail, the letter cites “concerns about [Willis’s] motivation” in bringing the case and suggests her sprawling racketeering indictment against the former president and 18 others highlights “the threat that such state prosecutions can pose to the operations of the federal government.”

How is this a threat to the operation of the federal government? None of the indicted are in office.

Also the only motivation anyone should be concerned about is the judiciary chairman who has shown a repeated interest in attacking states and their ability to enforce their laws. This is naked partisanship by Jim Jordan.

It’s a threat because he thinks that it will hurt Trumps bid to be the potus again. What he doesn’t realize is Trump did that to himself, nobody else did.

Yes, but in fairness to him, he does shady shit most days, so how can he be expected to keep track?

And anyone subpoenaed or asked for any kind of information or testimony should give Jim Jordan the exact response he gave when he himself was subpoenaed.

Those are called checks and balances Jimbo. You’re not given liberty to break the law no matter who you are. Accountability has been too low for too long

He doesn’t have the power to do shit, she won’t cooperate and then he’ll decide that’s proof that this is pOLiTicAL and that it doesn’t matter whether Trump actually broke the law because the people prosecuting him are meanies.
