I’m leaning Eastern, but Texas has Eastern and Western. The horizontal ticking on the vertical belly barring look anchor shaped, but with them being scrunched, it covers a lot of it, but I feel fairly confident. The barring and ticking also looks less chunky that I’m used to on a Western.
One cannot go wrong with choosing a Screech Owl. They’re one of those guys that everybody likes.
