      I really liked this photo and was surprised nobody else made any comments on it. It looks so magical, and thinking about it being rather silent as it’s going on makes it feel even more fantastic. I would have loved to witness this moment in person. It feels like something one would remember forever.

          I think they do. It means dinner time! 🤤🐀

          They’re basically sky cats, either sleeping or hunting, so they probably get some owl version of zoomies at their appropriate biologically determined hour. I like to think of it that way at least…

      I think they’re safe from both of those things at the moment.

      Shorties fly really high and do a high speed wing clap as their display of worthiness. Most male owls will also bring the lady a nice dinner before requesting to hop on their back as well, should she find the meal pleasing enough.
