One Piece has its own card game, I know that. Fuckin Disney made their own card game.

Maybe the protagonist and a couple friends could go traveling around the world with the goal of capturing all the different Pals, that’d be cool.
I give it a few days after the card game release, if they actually do it, and Sintendo goes ballistic by patenting trading card based physical games and starts suing everyone.
