    “hey, train this guy”

Me, who’s been managing this dept with zero experience for the last ten years by the skin of my teeth.

“Read this book and get to work.”

My experience is more like, “It’s all relatively self-explanatory. You’ll catch up. Also, we forgot to ask, how’s your Mandarin?”

Yeah I’m feeling this pretty hard.

Started a new position last Monday. I’m very happy with the role actually, but it seems so hard to find actual training. I really shouldn’t complain, I’m not assigned much work currently or in the near future.

Just would be nice to have a better idea of the day-to-day, however.

Sounds to me like you have ten years of experience!

Hope the money’s worth it, I wouldn’t be able to handle the stress…

Not even the same. I’m sorry, did anybody ask your permission to scoop up all the valuable land before you were born? No? Did they pay you personally back for it? Also no? Fuck them. You’re not lucky to have a job; they’re lucky to have employees. You’re under no moral obligation to tell the truth to the people extorting you out of your life.

You should steal office supplies, too. And when you see someone else stealing from work, no you didn’t.
