This is basically POSIWID - the Purpose Of a System Is What It Does.
There’s “no point in claiming that the purpose of a system is to do what it constantly fails to do”.
The purpose of the state is to empower the rich and dehumanize us. If that wasn’t the purpose, it wouldn’t keep doing it.
Sometimes you must destroy things to fix them.
Rebuild with a country that has 60% idiots that would favor something even worse.
Or better. Or the same.
Or maybe if we addressed the causes of their despair, they’d be less inclined to lash out.
The system is largely working ok but needs constant maintenance from everyone to keep working. By destroying it you would practically guarantee a worse outcome for pretty much everyone.
