Constipation or Diarrhea are both possible side effects of this medicine. I’m constipated. After 3 days of no poops, I began taking magnesium and fiber supplements. My doctor did explain this could happen when I got the Rx and told me to take fiber supplements and stay hydrated. I’ve had two very small poops, but imagine there is a lot of poop inside me.

Redditors seem to recommend nbpure Mag O7 but I’m still not sure about it. I may reach out to my doctor to see if I’m in any danger since I haven’t pooped.

I am eating less but I’m sure there is old poop in me.

I am starting to poop. A little last night, a little more today. Then I took some milk of magnesia, and diarrhea poop came out. It’s a start, and at least I don’t have to worry about dying or severe health problems at the moment. I will continue to work on my regularity. I long for the simpler days of big, hot poops but am willing to endure for a healthier lifestyle.

Just a quick pointer, if you are experiencing constipation adding fibre is the last thing you want to do.

The best way of explaining it is you have a traffic jam. Adding more cars is not going to make it move through faster, and with fibre it is going to bulk up the stool and make the constipation worse. The solution to constipation from most causes is to increase water and fat consumption to prevent the drying out and hardening of stool.

The way most laxatives work is by stopping the lower bowel from absorbing water, leading to softer, wetter, and looser stool. If you can achieve this by not having as much fibre to absorb this water then you will have similar effects.

Thanks for the advice. I will forgo the fiber tonight, and maybe take a spoon full of olive oil and lots of water.
