Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu credited Taylor Swift for her gold medal wins, saying the pop superstar fueled Team USA in Milan.

This is the fun bit of any art, and here on Lemmy where we have a lot of analytical people it’s hard to define. Art isn’t inherently good or bad, and it’s a deeply personal thing. People here love to say Taylor isn’t good, her music is boring, etc. That’s their own personal view though.

Hwre we have someone who was inspired by Taylors music and decided to make something of their own.

Its why I don’t understand tearing down people for what art they enjoy. Art begets art. The very cool thing is that if you don’t like it you can go enjoy other art. If you do though, you can make something fun yourself.

I have a little picture of Taylor Swift on my guitar that looks up at me when I play. I don’t know any of her music at all, I just think she’s pretty. My daughter asked why I have a sticker of mommy on my guitar and now my wife who also doesn’t know any Taylor Swift thinks she’s great lol.

    Cute:

“She is the GOAT of music,” Liu said on stage. “She lent her voice and music by narrating a video introducing me and the other Blade Angels. I gotta say, I think that’s why we won.” Swift appeared visibly moved by the comment. She covered her face with her hands and blushed as cameras captured her reaction alongside fiancé Travis Kelce.

I wonder if she really believes Swift is the actual “GOAT” of music. I imagine (and hope) no, probably.

Edit: Ah, my first downvoted comment. I feel strangely content that it happened over a musical opinion.
