Apparently Switch is a program on Belgian radio station Studio Brussel.
This mix is a more developed version of the one performed at Pukkelpop, Belgium on August 22 2002.
Both mixes are absolute sons of bitches to compile a tracklist for, because the dudes crossfaded tracks for minutes, straight up played one track over another, or used only short excerpts. MixesDB has a tracklist for this one, of unknown accuracy. It seems to have been updated recently-ish, as it’s been rather sparse some months ago.
For some reason MixesDB marked the Pukkelpop mix as ‘fake’, despite it being a clear precursor to the Switch one. But this video has a pretty comprehensive tracklist in the description, which actually was better than that on MixesDB at one point.
Luke Vibert is an underrated musician. Highly recommend checking out his albums and tracks
Also btw, apparently Vibert inspired RDJ to do faster breakbeats on ‘Richard D. James Album’, which of course became the predominant style in Aphex’s releases since then.
He’s also known as Wagon Christ, recording Ninja-Tune-style instrumental hiphop and releasing on that label.
