hi. new Kirby fan here. i recently finished Kirby’s Dream Land and starting the extra mode. is there a recommended order for playing the games or is release order the best?

No overarching story but a lot of references and callbacks to older games in the new ones, so going by release is totally fine or just play the ones that interest you.
Kirby’s Adventure and Kirby Superstar for classic Kirby (or the remakes Nightmare in Dreamland and Superstar Ultra) and Kirby’s return Dreamland for a more modern traditional Kirby.
I appreciate the input! i like finding references so I’ll try the release order
