I’m trying to feel more feminine this week so I got one of those electric body shavers meant for sensitive areas. I did my bikini zone and I’m absolutely loving it! It’s sooo so nice to feel smooth down there. I didn’t do the best job as I still need to learn how to use it better.

I want to do my legs and chest too, but I think I’ll wait for this weekend. I know i could get a closer, smoother shave with a razor but last time I did it burned all over for days. Obviously I did it wrong. Still scares me though.

Just felt like sharing

Have a wonderful day!

Yesssss. Smooth is the absolute best.

Shaving chest and legs can be difficult, couple bits of advice: trim your hair down first with clippers, use a new high quality razor, shave in the shower, take your time, and moisturize afterwards. You’re going to love it!

electric razors are amazing for intimate areas and trimming the bulk of the hairs for sure. i always go over my legs once with it before using a razor, and I don’t use the razor on sensitive places

it takes a few goes to stop getting the strawberry legs, keep at it and itll be okay :) make sure to use hot water and moisturize after, lotion helps a ton early on

now I’m able to just hit it with my razor and electric shaver but I also used shaving cream too before I got used to it so that’s worth a try!

Thank you for the tips! I will definitely give it a try, I do enjoy a warm bath from time to time. Sounds like a perfect opportunity! How long does the strawberry legs last? Like if I shave on friday night and screw up will they still burn on Monday?

Mine lasted a few days when I first shaved my legs, only got irritated like that for like a month or so? after that I could just shave under the shower water

If you don’t need a totally smooth shave but you want it closer than an electric razor you can reduce irritation a lot by going in the same direction as hair growth instead of against. This won’t be as close of a shave as going against the growth, but it will prevent itching and ingrown hairs for the most part.

For days where you want ultra smooth I agree with someone else’s comment that it helps to use salicylic acid on the area first (I use the T-sal shampoo for this), use moisturizer after, and pick cotton underwear that isn’t too tight around the legs.

Edit for legs: Try sitting down and resting your leg on something (like the side of the tub) so that your leg is completely relaxed while you’re shaving it. I find relaxing it first (vs. shaving standing in the shower and similar where your leg is tensed) helps reduce razor irritation significantly.

Girl, I swear smooth legs are the best!

    I use magic shaving powder.

Exfoliate the legs (edit: with an exfoliating Shea body scrub), then I do a quick wipe with salicylic acid wipes (it tends to make my hairs stand out from the skin more) and mix the powder with water, slather it on with a small brush I picked up last time my spouse wanted their hair done, and just waited the 5ish minutes standing in the tub. Sensitive areas can sting a little if you leave it on too long, but so far I have yet to damage anything. Just keep away from any wounds, sores, scabs, etc.

    <click for TMI 😳>

It’s fantastic though because I don’t have to worry about cutting open the girls and when I wipe off after 5 minutes the feeling of smoothness down there is divine. It’s also great because I like to tuck, and use tape on special occasions like when I want to wear leggings around my living space. Smoothness means nothing is shifting around.

Sadly I get bad ingrown hairs every so often, and this past week was particularly bad. I hate the prickly feeling 😭

I’ve got one of those shavers that just plucks the hair I’m going to try when the hair gets long enough, hopefully tomorrow if I’m lucky.

My facial hair has always been slow to grow and sparse, and the rest of my torso is pretty hairless already minus some small thin spots, so I’m mainly getting arms, legs, pits, and intimates.

Good luck with the epilator (the one that plucks the hairs). I tried it a few times and I’ve decided that it’s just not worth it for me. It hurt worse than getting my tattoos! not to mention, it irritated my skin a lot afterward.

I’ve found that wahl balding clippers work pretty well for 90% of my body. You need to be a tiny bit careful with them because they can cut you, so I don’t use them around the nethers. I’ve found they do a good job on me, with people commenting on how smooth my legs are even a number of days after shaving. That said, after trying a bunch of stuff over the years it seems to me like everyone just needs to figure what works best for their skin/hair.

I have tried it out with some hairs I missed and honestly it doesn’t seem super bad.

Still fairly early on in trying to girlmode, and I’m not on hormones yet, so everything is still stuper thick and I’m figuring things out. I’ll have to check out those clippers!
