Marginally worse than the original Xbox port.
This is the kind of shit I like to see
Mad man. I love it.
I actually preferred the Xbox port of Morrowind for its control scheme. Inventory management in that game was awful but the Xbox controller made it marginally better. However that didn’t balance out the load times, which got progressively longer as your save file grew.
The PC control scheme for morrowind is just incomprehensible to me.
i’ve owned morrowind for so long and not played it cause the controls just make no sense to my brain. Like… my brain just blue screens when theres any attempt to play it.
Its like trying to understand an internal combustion engine. I can explain indivdual components. valves, push rods, pistons, etc.
But when you combine them all together, and at speed, my brain just shuts down and goes “MAAAAAAJIIIICCK”
well it had to shut down the console and boot it back up during the loading screen so the game wont have memory leaks
I remember reading about that hack and thinking it was an ingenious work around for hardware limitations. I still have flashbacks about the hours wasted staring at a Nix hound slide waiting for the progress bar to inch forward.
I almost never explored the coastlines because of the dreugh slide. I took one look at those abominations and figured the oceans of Vvardenfell could keep their secrets.
IIRC, the games on the pipboy in FO4 run on C don’t they? I rememver trying to figure out how to mod in my own before the creation kit came out and there wasn’t much info available at the time. If someone can get Morrowind running on it, then there probably is enough info to do what I was wanting to do originally. Too bad I don’t play FO4 anymore.
