What kind of owl is this and where may I ask?
This looks like an Eastern Screech Owl. The Eastern Screech can be that beautiful reddish color, while I think all the Western Screeches are just shades of grey, and the Eastern’s cross hatching on the belly stripes makes a boat anchor shape while the Western has thicker vertical stripes and a perpendicular cross hatch.
They are one of the most common owls of eastern North America. No info was given by the photographer, so here is where they are found.
