The Democratic Senate candidate from Maine voted to pursue a moratorium on all but rooftop solar projects while the town developed permitting rules. He says that’s compatible with his calls for energy-permitting reform.
Reads like a cheap smear article.
Bad policy tells you a lot more about a politician than what they say.
He says his goal with the moratorium was to buy time for Sullivan and its residents to “get ordinances in place and have a deeper and more nuanced conversation.” Renewable energy advocates expressed understanding of that rationale.
Sounds like his reasoning was completely understandable, so much that people pushing for solar thought he had a good point. But you keep licking those GOP boots. The adults are ready to move forward.
