Curious if anyone else has noticed that the text-to-image function has gotten worse recently. I used to find it pretty great at generating images in a particular style - landscapes that looked like actual paintings, etc., provided I phrased my prompt specifically - but now everything seems to trend towards the “digital painting” style, and photos again look like cut-and-paste collages. I’ve only been using the default (https://perchance.org/ai-text-to-image-generator) so if this issue is confined to this generator, great. Any insight would be helpful!
I tried to render a random landscape using the ‘Oil Painting - Old’ style and it came out pretty good, not ‘digital’ in any way; but the default generator is quite limited. For example, you can’t set the ‘Guidance Scale’ that is automatically set to the default value of 7, but for a painting-style should be lower, roughly 4 to 6. You can try again with the default generator, adding at the end of your prompt:
(guidanceScale:::4)including the brackets and the three colons ::: OR you can try a more art-oriented generator like https://perchance.org/wallpaper-konbini where you can manually set the Guidance Scale and choose one of the many painting styles.I’m having no end of trouble with the image generators at the moment, even though i’m specifying professional photo or oil painting - realism in the art style drop down, it just keeps generating nothing but cartoon or anime style pictures, even the the generators that have a guidance scale option is doing nothing to solve this. Professional Photo seems to only slightly generate something that looks like a oil painting, but alot of stuff is just coming out as too cartoony for my liking, and not having a working negative prompt is killing alot of it for me. Also the generation has been so painfully slow these days, sometimes one image taking several minutes to generate, I know they did a server migration the other week but alot of stuff is still really shit at the moment and no where near as good and reliable as it was last year.
