It’s not a proper Monaco if Leclerc finishes. I know he got that one win but that was the exception.

Red flag? What a bizarre Monaco GP.

Lindblad got really lucky. Free pitstop now and jump on the Williams.

Have we seen any racing? No. But fuck me, can’t complain about the entertainment (even if half of it has been trying to figure out wtf is wrong with everyone’s pit lane speed limiters).

Damn. Mega unlucky for Verstappen. Antonelli did well getting off the line.

False start investigation for Russell??? Nooooooo

Seeing all that asphalt on Stroll’s tire and then Leclerc going off similarly, seems irresponsible to continue the race.

Although with all the looming penalties and investigations for positions 2-5 I’m intrigued to see what happens.

Was that asphalt on the tires? I thought I heard the announcers say “marbles”, and I assumed its balls of soft rubber compound from tires that got sheared off during the race. If so, is this the result of new tire compound used this year that creates more debris on the track?

Later they said that it’s most likely the asphalt but I haven’t heard that being confirmed anywhere

Everyone’s getting noted for speeding in the pitlane. Bizarre. Are they sure it isn’t some other technical issue?

Williams are going to just run back the manoeuvre from last year, backing up the field with Albon to give Sainz a free pitstop 😂

The answer is probably “yes”. We can hope the new regs save us, but I honestly doubt it.

Still, I got my thrill yesterday. That was a phenomenal qualy. And hell, we didn’t get the typical chaos but F2 even had some last lap action and a final corner overtake.

And I’m fine with Monaco being what it is, somehow the pomp and ceremony and tradition works for me. And the track is just spectacular, I love watching the cars go through it even though the actual racing is nonexistent.
