Somehow, I feel like the definition of carbrain categorically excludes self-identification as one. Like, the essence of the word is a paraphrase of Vince Lombardi: Cars aren’t the important thing, they’re the only thing.
So what’s the word for the weirdo who wants a dumpy, mostly broken fartbox of a car that they fix themselves who wants public transit and protected bike lanes and stricter licensing requirements so that there are fewer idiots on the road who don’t know how to zipper merge?
I think that’s a car enthusiast.

But yeah, smarter people who like driving recognize that making other modes of transit makes driving better for those who do so.
I want an America with mass transit for all and highways with no speed limit.

Carbrain is a state of mind
It’s a funny thing. When I ride, one of my considerations about whether I choose a route is how likely I am to get killed or maimed.
There’s a whole country worth of evidence that this shit is true and yet the American mind can barely comprehend it even after doing their own “analysis”
As it turns out, painted lines aren’t very good at preventing cars from hitting you.
Also not a door zone. Also tall barriers to prevent it from becoming a car parking/standing zone – which is worse than letting cyclists take the lane
