Might be a habit. We often try to textualize images or links for the blind on Lemmy and I sometimes forget where it doesn’t make sense.
I think people think they’re just being clever and fun when they aren’t. It’s like when you’re seeing a movie for the first time, with a person who has already seen it, then keeps telling the story ahead of time out of eagerness. Fun for that person; infuriating for you.
