We’re not putting enough heads beneath a suspended blade, rather.

I want my money to be used to feed the hungry, provide housing to those in need, fund education and healthcare. I want that money to build safer roads and more greenspace, to expand public transportation and to make life better for the majority who live here.

I don’t care if my taxes feed a family who “doesn’t need it.” I just don’t want my fucking money to go to harming and killing innocent people anywhere in the world.

ETA: I’m also okay if my taxes go to helping feed/aid people in need in other countries. Just no harm.

US spends 1,000,000,000,000/year on a military, drastically more than every other country on earth combined, and some nitwit is whining about the nothing we spend on saving millions of human lives that also, get this, gives us soft power that is drastically outsized to the cost of the spending.

Huh, duh, I wonder if a country that can spend a trillion dollar/yr on its military can spend 1/1000 of that to save people and give us huge leverage on trade/resources/etc.

Not only is cutting foreign aid morally terrible, its flat out stupid economically.

You’re against taxes because you want small government.

I’m against taxes because I want capitalism gone.

    We are not the same.

Been about a week since I posted blatant ragebait, farmed downvotes and tried to get people to argue in the comments. I’ll find something better for next week’s addition 😉

A more stable world is financially beneficial. Allies are strategically beneficial. The eradication and minimization of pests and disease are both.
