Well, they probably miss out on a chancellor who reminds them every day how lazy they are, that they have it way too good, or that their appearance doesn’t fit the cityscape. No wonder those poor souls don’t feel depressed. /s
That chancellor is in Central Europe.
While that’s true, the article seems to divide the EU into east and west, roughly along former the iron curtain, putting Germany into western EU.
