People don’t really vote for ideologies, they vote for policies. They don’t care what books the candidate has read.
What they care about and will vote for: lower rents, lower healthcare premiums, lower student debt, etc etc.
This sounds good and all, but trump got tons of votes from the people he said he would hurt, and that’s just one counter example.
Most polls are garbage. This one is by The Economist and YouGov, neither of which inspire confidence.
