No AC when it’s 100 degrees outside. No running water because our pump needs power. The power company keeps moving back the estimated repair time while the number of customers without power only goes up. I’m so fucking bored and my phone’s battery is at 47%.
You should always have back-up solutions for power. I have a small battery + solar set-up that can power my fridge and some other things as well as my well pump. I have a solar + hand-crack radio that also acts as a USB charger.
If all else fails, go to a library maybe?
Depending where OP lives and where the library is, they might have the same issues.
Yeah, just throwing things out there. I rode out hurricane Ike in Houston and my block had no power for 13 days, so I have experience in that realm
Can you get a Styrofoam cooler and a bag of ice? Battery powered fan too if you can? Make yourself a cheap swamp cooler.
It sucks though, I hope they get your power going soon my friend.
