Funny that I’m watching light winds on Lake Superior from the cockpit of my moored boat in great, 10 knot breeze. But, ya gotta grill dinner sometime, and I did sail earlier.
Where abouts? I’m sitting on anchor in the Apostles, it’s been a nice day!
Lake Mendota, down in Madison. It’s a trailer boat (barely!), and I’m pondering trucking it to the Apostles this year. I haven’t been since 2019, bar an afternoon Bayfield to La Pointe outing last year on my small daysailer.
Nice! I’m anchored at La Pointe, watched the fireworks here last night. Highly recommended if you’re interested in fireworks, they play music throughout the anchorage on some insane sound system and you can hear over the booms!
Gotta love the great lakes under 20knots!
