Two for one, cabana stripes and butter yellow

Butter yellow has swept the scene, replacing beige as the go to summer neutral. Minimalistic, warm and calming, butter yellow pairs beautifully with so many options from crisp white to chocolate brown to baby blue. How are you feeling about butter yellow this summer?

Yeah, my foundation colour is ‘sickly victorian child with cholera’ or ‘ghost with consumption’ and tanning is all but impossible. That pale yellow is an absolute no-go. Its bad enough that a few weeks back after I asked my mother for her opinion on a dress I was planning on wearing to an event she literally just sent me a link to gradual tanning lotion to put on my fluorescent white and blue legs… at least might help reduce the effect of them looking like freshly plucked poultry…

Was gonna say about the same thing. Such a gorgeous color with melanated skin. I’m nowhere near pale, but sadly still can’t really make this color work for me

I also feel that way, I personally don’t own any. I have gotten a tan though, maybe I should try again

I feel the same way about this as I do white.

Cute, good for them, looks nice. Jelly of your expanded options.

It would make me look horrible, however, so hard pass. I’ve got a complexion that goes well with vivid saturated colors; pale olive-base skin and very very dark hair. If I could catch a tan I’d look middle eastern. But then those light colors would actually work so it is what it is.

Looks great on others especially tanned or darker skin tone, on me nope, nope, nope… I’d be mutton dressed as buttered lamb
