    These idiots think they can stop the application by blocking the source code in one country. Absolute morons.

    The agency further said the application’s architecture “significantly impedes lawful interception, attribution, and investigation by law enforcement agencies.”

    Also heavy censorship enabling laws have been pushed through. These fuckers need to be taught the meaning of private messages. They should have no lawful reason to intercept and attribute messages

      It is a decentralized messaging app that can work w/o the internet (ig it uses Bluetooth). So it is very useful for protesters in countries where the police use jammers to block network access.

      Jack Dorsey has recently gone full Crypto Bro and this is one of his latest projects. This one is designed to connect people based on their physical location (it’s very strange, you can enter groups based on an arbitrary grid that basically overlays a world map) and on its face this seems like a double edged sword at best.
