Oh no. Not Amazon. They’ll just ruin this property like they did Lord of the Rings and Wheel of Time.
I think Blade Runner already got some mediocre web show or something like that. Didn‘t ruin the movies for me and neither will this thing. I sure am not going to watch it.
The 2099 just means they wanted to do something completely different, even with different technology and everything. It will be called Blade Runner but very likely have next to nothing in common with the original.
It‘s also Amazon. You know, the type of corporation that tries to remodel our world into the same dystopian vision of Blade Runner. The cynicism is too blatant for me to enjoy it even if it didn‘t suck.
All scenarios look like AI slop now… they better go back to building actual scenarios and models like it’s the 70s
They already did, for Alien: Earth - “fans” still bitched about it.
