Just took a quick peek in this community, mostly just seeing spacex posts lol. Is anyone here into day trading small caps? Or is anyone here a new investor? Just trying to generate conversation. Thank you for your time.

    I love small caps. As a group they’ve been performing very well over the past year. However, I consider myself too uninformed to invest in this area outside of indexes. I have been curious though.

    If nothing else, I use them to explicitly bias myself away from the super concentrated top companies.

      Same here. Small cap index funds are a good way to diversify when SP 500 is no longer as diversified as it once was.

        Low-cost index fun investing for the win. Sure, it’s not sexy, but if you stay diversified and stick with the plan, you’re nearly guaranteed to make some great long-term returns. Plus, I feel much better betting on my lack of knowledge.

        Maintaining reasonable diversification of course remaining a primary concern at this level of concentration with the AI bubble.
