The U.S. recently has imposed tariffs (again) on dozen of countries, primarily for alleged insufficient measure to prevent forced labour imports from China.
Many analysts see the move as a legal workaround for Donald Trump’s broad tariff program, announced on “Liberation Day,” April 2, 2025, which the US Supreme Court struck down in February. It is also noteworthy that Trump’s tariffs over forced labour do not include imports deemed to be critical for the U.S. industry such as rare earth minerals.
If there is forced labour in any supply chain, it needs to be eliminated, of course. But this appears to be a bogus claim for something else. It’s almost hilarious that Chinese propaganda is now using the ‘Western neoliberal’ Trump as a means to criticize the West.
Only we are allowed to force children to work! Well, unless you make something our military needs to bomb freeloading children that don’t work.

Looking a little behind the article, this appears to be a frivolous lawsuit by an organization with no Wikipedia page that files its taxes using EZ forms — perhaps a “non-profit” with a staff of one that operates from someone’s basement
This is indeed a strange firm.
It seems there is only one lawyer associated with it: Terry Collingsworth, the Founder and Executive Director of IRAdvocates. I couldn’t find anyone else in a quick search, although the firm claims to be active globally.
I also found just 2 verdicts by that firm (both were dismissed by the court). One was covered by Reuters in an article in January 2026:
On January 15, a federal jury in Alabama sided with coal producer Drummond and found Collingsworth and his firm liable for defamation and racketeering. The verdict capped a 24-year legal fight with Drummond, which accused Collingsworth of filing “fraudulent” lawsuits and orchestrating a scheme to pay witnesses to deliver false testimony linking Drummond to a Colombian paramilitary group responsible for killing hundreds of civilians …
