    My kind of hooman!
Then again, deer populations can get wildly out of control, especially when we wipe out so many beavers and their habitat, and by extension wolves (long story, there).

That reminds me, I have more strips that aren’t official, yet aren’t fan-art, either. Could be interesting to have a look, I guess. Not feeling super-motivated these days upon the FV in general, but it’s an option.

I have a weird dichotomy. I dislike excess meat consumption, and I don’t like guns. But, I’m kind of okay with hunting deer. They’re an excess pest, and many hunters are more responsible gun owners using form factors designed for hunting, not urban murders.

Most places in the US do this by selling a limited number of tags. And game wardens will fuck your life up if they catch you with a dead animal and no tags.

Great idea, but as with all regulated systems, it all comes down to enforcement. What’s the punishment for having no tags and how often is it actually enforced? I’ll answer my own question here: it varies by state since everything legal in the US is fractured and thus enforced disproportionately because no ranger is going to take the effort if they don’t think their efforts are worth it.

That’s not really what’s being discussed. Regulating the hunting of non-threatened species is done by the states.
