It actively fights me every time. You write “They love and hug” and continues as “They love and hug, but quickly pull away and punch eachother”
I write “He loves candy”. Becomes "He loves candy, but not really, it’s a fake act he hates it.
Does anyone know what the previous model used was? I want to try and run it locally.
Yeah, I love it’s creativeness but I write ‘He is cheerful, happy and thinking about his favorite restaurant’ and it writes ‘He wasn’t really cheerful and he didn’t give a bleep about his favorite resturant’. I’m not hating on it, I’m just not really sure how to deal with this issue.
Yeah it’s just awful and nonsensical. Glad to see I’m not alone.
This is very easy to counteract. You have to edit the general writing instructions. To do this, create a character or edit an existing one, scroll to the bottom to where it says “General writing instructions”, click the drop-down menu, then click “Custom”. Once you do that, just write what you WANT the AI to do or say. For example:
- HARD CONSTRAINTS: Do not invent false narratives, hidden hostiles, secret twists, or contradictory character feelings unless explicitly requested.
- TRUTH IN SCENE: If the user states a character is cheerful, sincere, or performing an action, accept it as absolute narrative fact. Do not revert or undermine user input.
- NO SKEPTICISM BLIND: Characters must act realistically to their stated traits; do not make every scenario a “fake act” or turn simple positivity into a sudden conflict.
- MAINTAIN CONTINUITY: Build logically on top of what the user writes without undoing their established progress or rewriting their intent.
^^^ This is a courtesy of Gemni. Try that on for size. If it doesn’t work, just edit it to what you want it to say. Bad responses ARE NOT permanent, if you EDIT the response, what it previously said is basically wiped from its memory.
This 1000% did not work.
Why would you waste everybody’s time with an AI message you didn’t even think through? This doesn’t work, and there is no “general writing instructions”.
You sure about that?

This is for AI chat https://perchance.org/ai-chat
If you’re using ACC (Advanced Character Chat) or any of its forks, there’s a “general writing instructions” section. You can go as they described, try a few things out, and add whatever works for you.
That being said, I completely agree with the OP and the comments here because the current state of the model is honestly awful. Even if you manage to fix something, it either doesn’t really listen or breaks something else in the process. I’ve personally seen this text model perform much better in the past, but the latest update completely ruined it. So yeah, tweaking those settings probably won’t do much.
