I like this composition but… the moonlight coming through him is confusing. Perhaps an interior light source to provide detail on his front? the light beam over the shoulder is just… I can’t make it make sense.

Yeah the more I look at it the more it feels like Bethesda lighting. Lighting that doesn’t make sense, why does everything have rim lighting and a highlighted face? 🤣

It’s giving “Vampire: the Masquerade” clan novel cover. I love the vibe! Gritty and modern and dangerous.

Goth is definitely a strong option.

I am playing a “The Dude, but vampire” character in a “What we do in the shadows” style RPG campaign. So, a vampire with checkered shorts, tie-die shirt and a cardigan.

I want to be that characters friend! What’s his name and does he have a catch phrase?

His name is River Indigo, he’s an aloof second generation hippie turned vampire in the 70s and sort of a drug dealer for other vampires, but he mostly trades in favors. Still workshopping a catchphrase, I don’t want to just carbon copy the inspiration character. But I do have a sort of phrase book of hippie lingo that I keep open while playing.

That’s awesome! Sounds like a great time to play him. What game world are y’all playing in? I used to play RPGs in high school, now I just live though other people gaming lol

I’m part of a close-knit online indie RPG community, we like to try different games. This is Vampire: the Requiem which IIRC is out of print but not hard to find second hand. There’s a lot of edgy undertones in White Wolf’s Vampire series, but obviously we’re taking a lighter-hearted approach for our “What we do in the shadows” sessions. We’re still blood-sucking vampires, but we’re radically different roommates too. We have a posh goth singer seeking fame, an extremely skittish and socially anxious accountant, and a cheerful and monstrous Jekyll/Hyde spinster. Oh, and an NPC that is an ancient vampire that slept through the last 50 years and we’re tasked to teach him how to blend in. The sitcom practically writes itself.

I feel like more laughs than XP! Which is just the right mix for game night.

Thank you for sharing so much. I played Vampire: the Requiem once. It was not so cheerful.

Oh I didn’t know there was a book! I saw the movie.

Now I have something to go find!

      And thank you.
