Today’s game is Halo 2. First, i would like to say when i took these they were no where near this dark on my screen. I have no idea what happened. Maybe i just adapted looking at it so long or it lost some colors. Either way i apologize for the darkness.
Anyways, me and a friend have been working through a Replay of Halo 2. My very first brush with it was Legendary Co-Op with my friend (i was feeling cocky and wanted a challenge). Absolutely the worst challenge yet, may never do it again. I loved every second of it though. Anyways, since then my 3 favorites to go back to are Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo Reach. I know with 4 it’s not much of a competition with that (i still loved it though), but CE it’s pretty damn close.

We stuck mainly to the two Flood levels for today’s playthrough because we were running short on time. These two levels honestly are some of the weakest for me in this game. Not as bad as the library but still quite a bit of enemies to wait and fight off. At least we have smarter (i think) NPCs this time to help out.

I do also like that they give us vehicles. It helps break up the monotony of the the on foot sections. Makes it a lot more fun too if you can snag that tank. It becomes a lot easier to handle as you roll through and over enemies.

I’ve played this game so many times now that i’ve started to notice so many useless details. Like, on old graphics now i don’t think Arbiter has any animations when he’s falling in the pit. As far as i could tell he was just kind of pivoting in a 3D space. In motion it looks a lot better but it was still a little silly too watch. Then again, it’s entirely possible my copy just bugged out for some reason.
Anyways, tomorrow i’ll get back to my usual stuff. It’s been a little hectic these last few days so i haven’t had a lot of free time, and what little i did have i wanted to spend with friends. So hopefully i’ll finally finish Dead Space tomorrow.
The game is dark like that. Your display probably has settings that make it brighter. Even the original game didnt look that dark because CRTs brightened the display and added more to the omage than what the Xbox put out. Modern displays just output direct so they don’t get the benefit that CRTs used to have, so they looked way darker than you remember.
Basically, its not your fault or something, its the display being different.
Halo 2 Legendary is like every enemy has an AWP and aimbot. I managed it coop back in the day, but it was definitely a challenge I couldn’t repeat now 😂
It was bullshit lmao. It sucked more because me and my friend were basically on a timer and only had 3 hours per a level or else the game would disconnect us
