I’ve been enjoying this feature between my iPhones and my Macs for over a decade and a half… I’ve forgotten that it doesn’t exist elsewhere.
Amusingly, Android and Windows have a similar feature that’s been pretty reliable for the times I’m actually using windows.

KDE Connect has this feature and it works between macOS, iOS, Windows, Android, Linux and SailfishOS
If it works, which in my experience has been spotty.
Can never get KDE connect to work for some reason on my CachyOS pc. I have to assume it’s the Network card or something

That’s only for files. Regardless, it works flawlessly heck even better than airdrop and quickshare
