According to a decision handed down Friday, Congress must approve alterations to the White House: ‘Each President is a temporary tenant, not the owner’

‘Each President is a temporary tenant, not the owner’

I do not think The Don (and his ilk) are able to grasp the meaning of that.

A perfect example of how calcified our government has become. It’s not “nimble” enough to solve anything.

The East Wing is destroyed, a new foundation has been poured, tower cranes are assembling load-bearing walls, and now a federal court says this is not acceptable.

The federal court humiliates itself. It’s the same for all of our other problems. It’s deeply horrifying to realize we won’t make it in time for any of the problems we need government to solve.

Tear it all out, and restore it back to its original plan, no matter how much it costs, and charge it to Trump. He such a good deal maker, he can get “private donations” to reimburse him.

Yeah I do feel like the courts really need reforms that allow them to attend to legal processes in a timely way.

Not this specific situation precisely but people are supposed to have a right to a speedy trial- those do not exist. The dysfunction of the courts plays a huge role in the way that the legal process itself can be the punishment even if someone did nothing wrong

        Its called an emergency stay.

Judges can issue them basically within a day. I am sure lawyers asked for one and no judge elected to issue one.

“Efficient as government work” - an idiom as old as time.

So is “The wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly fine”.
