Oracle has decreased free tier allocation of ARM instances down from 4CPU to 2CPU and from 24GB RAM to 12GB RAM. This is for both new and old accounts. Old users on the 4C/24GB config are getting emails from Oracle to either downgrade the instance or switch to pay as you go tier

    Disappointing, but not surprising with the rising costs of hardware. I’m glad there’s at least some still free. I also find OCI ARM instances pretty cheap even when paying for them.

      But unfortunately in my region, ARM instances never seem to be available. Always at capacity 😞
