Well, seeing how widespread and common they are in supermarkets by now, there seems to be a reason they can call up those prices. People are still buying it.
But their success probably also was a major accelerator for the increasing availability of budget alternatives, e.g. by discounters like Lidl.Ok, but budget alternatives taste worse

I don’t know, might be a matter of personal taste.
I really like many of the Lidl products.
E.g. their vegan gyros is absolutely goated imho.
Besides from that, you might be proving the point why Rügenwalder still can call up 20€/kg ;-)
Just because you have a point doesn’t mean that I am going to be reasonable going forward.
I want cheaper vegan foods to attack the tasty carcass overconsumption.
