I can believe this. My sister-in-law got threatened and nearly run over by a motorcyclist in Paris because she had the audacity to cross a street at an intersection while the pedestrian light was green.
The motorcycling turned into the intersection and nearly hit her, and then tried to follow her up into the pedestrian Island (still on his motorbike) to yell at her when she retreated there for safety.
And I’ve heard other stories about pedestrians and cyclists being terrorized there.
Too many drivers in Paris are fucking psychos.
It has worsen during the last 20 years, and it’s not limited to Paris. French people don’t know how to drive, and they don’t even stop anymore when there is a STOP sign. It’s like driving schools have stopped teaching people how to drive.
What has changed in the past 20 years?

Half the drivers around me don’t respect the speed limits, don’t stop when they must stop, tailgate all the time, drive recklessly, don’t put their blinkers when they switch lanes, etc. And all of this is between car drivers, I haven’t taken into account what happens when they encounter bikes or people who walk.
The fact that I don’t see cops on the road anymore makes it worse. I don’t know why they do this, but cops get out only once or twice a year to scare bad drivers.

He could have rolled up his window instead of slashing with a knife. It rarely matters who punched first when someone gets their throat slit imo.
