    Two generations now who’ve never checked a payphone coin slot. I used to leave coins in there for kids to find.

    Not even Superman could resist.

      I definitely found some coins in pay phones as a kid!

      The funny thing is, it was so common because you’d find money in them way more frequently than other things, in my childhood experience.

      I didn’t know people like you were putting coins in there though, that’s very cute.

        I learned it from my dad. He’d walk past a payphone and put a quarter in the slot. He’d give me a quarter too, so I didn’t complain. It only just occurred to me that he was probably hoping I’d put the quarter he gave me into a slot, but I didn’t do it until I got older. Hmm. There were video games to play.

        I never found a thing from them, helped me not wanting to gamble at least (got terrible money luck for that sort of thing). I’d hope Superman could see first so maybe he super speeded around till a booth worth checking, leave his clothes as play it forward and all. Also there’s an amusing Robot Chicken bit for how he leaves his clothes.
