FWIW, I think she’s got a solid defence. She tried for four months and she got ignored by everyone that could help. There’s a civil case from LC and her now ex hubby Patrick against Jolotta and Tufts for medical negligence

ETA: FWIW, the prosecutors (specifically Buckingham) are so fucking stupid. removed wore a bow in her hair for the entire trial, because Cora (one of the victims) LOVED bows in her hair. Jury manipulation, much?

I think they’ll retry. But I also think that it won’t make a verdict any more likely to fall on the prosecution’s side.

It’s a valid defense, and if the defense team can make it convincing enough, an acquittal is just as likely as a conviction when retried. I haven’t been paying a shit ton of attention to the details. But what I have seen points towards the defense knowing their shit. They’re presenting good arguments that can change minds. So if a given jury starts neutral (they all should, but humans are rarely as unbiased as they think they are), I can see her being found not guilty via the affirmative defense.

Maybe prosecution could stack a new jury better though. If they do retry, that’s likely what they’ll be counting on.
